Default bakeware questions:)

I have two questions. The first:
Does anyone have ceramic cupcake pans? I found some today for cheap and picked them up, as I was wanting to get rid of the silicone and non stick ones I have. I have never heard of them, and was wondering if they are toxic or something like that
Second, I really need cookie sheets, and all i could find was the nonstick ones, so I got them. Now, I never actually put the cookies (or food) directly on the sheet. I always put down tinfoil. Will they be okay to use? So long as no food comes in direct contact with them?

i didn't know you could get ceramic cupcake pans! i'd go for baking paper on the cookie sheets over alfoil.

whats baking paper? is that like parchment paper?

we use paper liners in our non-stick muffin pans...cause i'm waiting/looking for new ones. is the ceramic one really sticky?

it is a good question...does the teflon junk get into the air and then settle on the food? even if food is not in contact

I don't know if the ceramic/stoneware is toxic or not. I hope not. Except for my cake pans, all my bakeware is the Pampered Chef stoneware. I can't use anything else now, I love the stoneware so much. You can bake cookies on the pizza pans.

I would use parchment over the foil.

I'm curious - why would you get rid of the silicone ones? I have some, like it pretty well but haven't researched it much so if there's a reason it's better not to use them I'd like to know!

NAK..
Well, my silicone was old and nasty-lol but I had just read a few threads here on gcm about the silicone, while deciding if i was going to get more, and i dont think i saw any concrete science to go either way, but several mamas here said that they were uncomfy with the material, or that it made things taste wierd...idk... I am just moving away from non stick pans, and plasics and such,, and silicone seems to be up there with those two items (even though it does work great!)
