Just a re-iteration of the answer you've already received. I double rice and broth recipes regularly and cooking time is the same. It will work well.
I find the IP to be very forgiving. Plus every recipe is a bit of a learning curve. You try something and then tweak it to personal preferences. For example my family always like a little extra saucy when it comes to recipes so I usually add more broth than they call for anyway.
