Coconut oil is actually my deep treatment trick and I have really curly hair. I just slather it on (it looks stringy but not greasy) at night, put my hair up and then do my regular washing routine the next day. BTW, I'm no poo so for me washing means with a conditoner. I do the coconut oil deep treatment a couple of times a month when I remember.
