Beefy Spanish Rice
We love this one:
INGREDIENTS:
2 cup uncooked rice (I use brown rice)
1/2 cup chopped onion (I often skip this)
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 pound ground beef
1 can of corn
1 can tomato sauce (w/ spices if you like)
1 can of tomato paste
Worchestire sauce to taste
1 cup water (or less)
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste (not necessary)
DIRECTIONS:
Cook rice to done or almost done.
Saute onion and bell pepper and saute for 5 minutes, or until onions are tender. Add the ground beef and saute until browned. Drain excess oil and fat.
Add the corn, tomato sauce, worchestire sauce and water & rice. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.
