I was wondering if i could replace zote with castille soap in the laundry soap posted a while back. also doing some digging on homemade laundry soap i found a gel soap i thought you ladies would be interested in. I haven't tried it yet but i think i'm going to. It's from

the recipe is:1/3 bar fels naptha or other type of soap
1/2 cup washing soda
1/2 cup borax
a 2 gallon bucket
and your choice of EO (optional)
grate the soap and put it in a sauce pan. Add 6 cups of water and heat it until it melts. Add the washing soda and borax and stir until it is dissolved. remove from heat. pour 4 cups of hot water to bucket. now add your soap mixture and stir. now add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water and stir. Let set for about 24 hours and it will gel. use 1/2 cup per load
Will not be a solid gel but a watery gel.
and it is a low sudsy soap.
