Elderberry Syrup!
This is a spin off of the elderberry source thread.
I made syrup a few weeks ago, but I need to make some more.
What recipe do you all use? The recipe I used had 3/4 c elderberries, some ginger, some cloves, and then honey added after the liquid had cooked down. Wellness mama, I think. Or maybe it was Don't waste the crumbs blog.
Everyone thought it tasted sort of like mincemeat pie or something and could have done without the cloves. Do you think the cloves add anything for viruses, or is it just for flavor?
If you use honey, do you think it will still be effective with honey that is not necessarily raw?
Anyway, what is your favorite recipe?
