We buy shampoo in gallon bottles and refill our smaller bottles ourselves, now. But when we had a smaller household we refilled at the store.
This summer I may try making my own shampoo bars. Mommypotamus has the recipe I want to use. It looks really similar to the shampoo bar I tried from Acure which lasted a really long time (it is not safe for colored hair, though). Conditioner bars are to expensive for me to use although I really love them. Halfway through they crumble and they're $10. But maybe I'll find a recipe to try.

I'd be interested in a recipe for shampoo and conditioner bars if you find a good one!
Glass and metal straws scare me...I'll never forget reading bout the lady that tripped with a metal one. I don't know how to add spoilers on my phone so I'll leave it at that. I'd be interested in trying silicone or another soft material.
