MyPlate tends to be more carb-heavy than I think is ideal, but if you reframe most carbs as 'need to look like actual grain, not be processed into flour/packaged goods' that helps with serving size.
Ex. Quinoa or wheat grains vs. packaged cookies made with 'whole wheat flour' - the plain grain will be a better whole food choice for the carb category.
