Second - all of this stuff refers specifically to Tylenol and it's generics, and occasionally less specifically to antipyretics... I can't see why it wouldn't apply to ibuprofen, but since it doesn't mention any other antipyretic...anyone have anything that doesn't *just* mention Tylenol? I'm going to be presenting this info to someone who's bound to mention Motrin as an alternative since it's not mentioned.

I think it mentioned NSAIDS? That would cover Motrin, Advil, etc..... I don't think that tylenol is an NSAID, I believe it is just an anti-pyretic. Since Ibuprofen is also an anti-infllamatory, it reduces the immune system on other levels too.
I'm going to mark this post, I'm often told I'm not caring for my children if I let them go with a temp. I rarely give otc's unless they are in pain, or it is a truly high fever. But when my little guys have a 102 temp, and is running around like normal, I just keep them extra hydrated and encourage more rest.
