You can also take the CAT (California Achievement Test); parents can give it.
It is not on-line but turn around from order to receive is about 2 days and it is scored fast.
it is $25 from Seton Homeschool and is a nationally recognized norm referenced test. You would give him the 3rd grade test. (Now the one from Seton is ONLY Math/ENGLISH-- you have to order it from somewhere else (maybe Calvert) to get the other areas. BUT for 3rd grade they are mosly interested in Math/READING anyway
(We use it like many other families in our area to meet NY state's end of year assessment requirements.)
Stamford does have specific requirements for administration that the CAT doesn't.
4th-8th grade-- their is the PASS test- nationally recognized and designed for homeschoolers.
