Gentle Christian Mothers Community - View Single Post - Literature-based language arts for 3rd grade

I used LLATL for (I think) two years back when DD(15) was younger. It takes classic books and ties grammar, spelling(?), writing, narration, and dictation into the lessons. I liked it...can't remember why I stopped using it. That may have been when I switched to Sonlight? However, I did not like Sonlight Language Arts (which I have *heard* they've since changed). I remember LLATL being a good program and I would definitely consider using it again.

At the time, I may have opted for something else, for the simple reason that we might have already read a few of the books for the particular level I was set to use next? I know there are samples online at the link SonshineMama posted.
