Taking your meds will definitely help you!
Accountability is good.
As you get settled on your meds and they start working (and you have to give them time to work) you will start to see the mess and that makes it so much easier to clean up!
for now, one of the tricks I use is to really pay attention when I first walk into a room (or the house if I've been gone for a bit) and the first thing I see is what I walk to and immediately clean up/declutter. It means it's bad enough that it's sticking out to me in the room. It's a method of peeling away the layers as I could see more.
