I have silicone molds that I use to make chocolates at Christmas (melted chocolate isn't very hot so I'm not concerned). I love them for that. I had one silicone cupcake pan. Used it once and immediately donated it. It wasn't as nonstick as advertised and I still had to wash the thing. I prefer my stainless cupcake pans with liners.
I also use biodegradable parchment paper. I compost it in summer but in winter I toss it in the woodstove. I think I'll just stick with that. I don't bake much. I'm looking forward to the day when the only baking I ever do is for the holidays.
