I'm frustrated with the lack of non-industry-driven resources out there.
One thing I teach my kids is that if you're going to have a snack/junk food like desserts, chips, crackers, etc, you look on the package and see what a serving size is, serve yourself that on a plate or bowl, etc, then put the package away and then eat your serving. Better habit than mindlessly eating a bag of chips or M&Ms.
