Tuesdays Child, totally OT, but both me and my DH are a Tuesday's Child.
So if we compiled a good sweetner/bad sweetner list based on which ones are refined and which are more complex, what would it look like?
I have so many questions and confusions about sweeteners...
We buy local unrefined non-pastuerized honey...
We buy organic local maple syrup (pure maple syrup is NOT the same as organic maple syrup... I can't remember what the difference is now, but my stepmom was telling me that "pure" maple syrup is deceptive because of some processing it receives, I believe...
)
When we buy juice or soda we try to buy 100% organic fruit sweetened with no added sugars...
We buy organic raw sugar. I thought that was better than buying refined highly processed sugar... now I'm not so sure.
We buy xylitol but I don't like it much cause it has an artificial sweetener type after taste to me...
ETA: The above are our "usuals", but we do splurge on candy, chocolate and regular soda (no artificial sweeteners EVER) on occasion...
