We read the Word together at lunchtime every day (outside, if the weather permits).

My kids take turns (from oldest to youngest) putting the star on top of the Christmas tree each year.

I always make waffles for breakfast on the first day of school.

On birthdays, the birthday kid gets to pick what we have for dinner (within reason; last year my youngest tried to convince me to let them eat skittles for dinner

)

Next year on Easter (my dad's favorite holiday), we start the tradition of making apple pie (my dad's favorite pie) for dessert. When he's gone, it will be a tradition in his honor.
