That's an interesting question. I don't have any definitive answer for you, but I have never thought of soap as going bad. I'd say if there's no mold in it, and it's still clear, I'd use it as a soap.
But, just because I'm saying "I'd use it," I have to add that I actually wouldn't use it on a baby because it's still a harsh soap. But I hardly use any products on babies anyway. Maybe for washing hands? (Well no, it's just me, but I'd just use a wet cloth for baby hands!)
