There's always the "yarning of the kids." You have to wait until they are asleep, then start winding yarn all throughout the house, ending with a nice web in their bedroom. You put the end of the yarn on a stick or a note or something. That goes right by their pillow. They wake up rather stuck in their bed/room. Then they have to walk around and wrap all of the yarn back up.
That's what the Elves do for our kids every year. It's a favorite!
