Dharma trading company makes great cotton fabric dye. Fiber reactive dye is great because it doesn't bleed once it is rinsef out. RIT will continue to bleed. Scouring is important to get oils & whatnot out of fabric & ensure a more even dye job. Scouring is basically getting fabric as hot as possible, boiling preferrably with soda ash (washing soda) and a little dawn. Polyester thread and fabric won't take fiber reactive dye.
