We're in the pacific northwest and I was taught as a child that it's illegal to put the heat over 67 degrees
. We keep ours around 65, off at night, and we were just asked by my 16yo if we could "stop having the house at 90 all the time" because he's "tired of it being so hot he can't breathe"
. So there's that. But I'd never put it over 68 because sweaters and socks are free
