We have a smallish wooden dining table (only eatting space in the house) I bought it in college and it has seen a lot the top if pretty well worn from water spills art mishaps and general moving damage. I ussually keep a table cloth on it to hide all this.
We also honestly dont use it much as a sit down a a family space for better or worse because it is ussually covered in other projects anyways.
Lately Ive been thinking of painting the top with some chalkboard paint but before I try it a few questions
1) Do I need to prep to wood in any way? If I have to do a lot of sanding and such I'm not intrested my ADD self can't it will cut corners and them I'll have ruined something fuctional.
2) can the table still be used as a dining like if I toss a table cloth over when we do have family meals there or will it just feel too weird?
3) does chalkboard paint only come in black?
