I think this meets your criteria, but I don't know what hidden ingredients are in anything so, maybe not
I do know its a family favorite
Chicken Hawaii
1 fryer chicken, cut up and skin removed
1/2 C soy sauce
1/2 C cranberry juice
3 T honey
2 T sesame seed
1 T minced green onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 t. freshly grated ginger
3/4 C cornstarch, sifted and divided
1 C chicken broth
Mix soy sauce, cranberry juice and honey, stirring until dissolved. Add sesame seeds, onion, garlic and ginger, stir. Add chicken. Cover and marinade overnight, turning occasionally. Reserve some marinade and 2 T cornstarch (kinda nice to know this in advance)
Pat chicken dry. Dredge in cornstarch, coating well on all sides. Place enough cooking oil in deep pan to coat the bottom of the pan. Oven to 375, cook chicken for 45 minutes, turning occasionally.
Stir the 2 T cornstarch into the 1/4 C reserved marinade. Place this with chicken broth in a small pan, heat to boiling and stir in cornstarch and marinade. Continue stirring until thickened and pour over chicken.
