Yesterday I put up six cooked packages of bacon and three sides of stuffed smashed potatoes.
I finally got around to ordering a hamburger press last week. I buy the formed burgers at the commissary and, while not that much more it adds up esp. when having formed ones in the freezer would keep us from walking over to the food court. If it saves us once from going over there, it will have paid for itself. Now to work on finding a really good hamburger recipe!
Another recipe. This is one my husband really likes. I'm not a fan of fried rice, so I make this and store in individual portions for him.
OAMC Chicken Fried Rice
* 4 cups jasmine rice (I use regular white rice)
* 8 cups water
* 2 chicken bouillon cubes
* 6-8 eggs
* 1 cup soy sauce
* 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas (I use peas and carrots)
* 3 tablespoons minced garlic
* 3 tablespoons minced onions
* 4 cups chopped chicken (I leave this out for side portions that I plan to serve when I make Chinese food and leave it in for larger meal-size portions)
1 Cook water, rice, and boullion cubes for about 30 - 40 minutes, or until done.
2 Scramble the eggs (not cooking them, leaving them raw).
3 Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl.
4 Portion into bags for lunches or dinners.
