Re: November's Dinners
No idea. I have laryngitis so I suspect the Sicilian will be making all the meals this weekend. (They got up and did breakfast so early I have no idea what they had.) He asked me to soak some greens in water and baking soda. (Since they won't be home until 4:30) So I have kale going in the sink and red mustard greens in a big bowl. :shrug3
(:phew Really glad I made almost 4 quarts of broth yesterday. I kinda think I will be having soups and pureed foods for a few days. I can barely swallow--which of course means I seem to be making extra saliva. Lol) |
Re: November's Dinners
Its warming up here in Australia (we had one day last week that was 40c/104F) and we are still in spring :jawdrop. Doesn't bode well for summer :phew
So I'm starting to bring salads back in with a few of our meals....although my DS #2 (18) is tough to convince that salad is actually food :giggle |

Re: November's Dinners
Chili in the crockpot tonight. I added about 1/3 c of puréed pumpkin and a few shakes of cinnamon along with the usual spices. It was good!

Re: November's Dinners
Today is DD2's birthday and she asked for Lemon Chicken Linguine and Garlic Lemon and Parmesan Roasted Brussel Sprouts. I think I'll make some rolls on the side. For dessert she always wants this Rustic Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake Tart which is super easy and flavorful.

Re: November's Dinners
Lentil soup in the slow cooker tonight - a favourite of mine because I can throw everything in and just leave it!

Re: November's Dinners
Mediterranean pasta and Greek salad yet again.

Re: November's Dinners
(I still have just a whisper voice, but I am feeling *much* better and finally up to cooking again.)
Making a soup with turkey Italian sausage, onions/peppers, and kale... The family will have gnocchi in it (that I am cooking on the side). |
Re: November's Dinners
THM Cowboy Grub, which is a taco rice one pan meal.

Re: November's Dinners
One of my kids asked for meatloaf. :scratch I've made meatloaf maybe twice in my adult life. Just not something I think of. So I made this one and everyone loved it. I didn't use sausage and I used oatmeal instead of bread crumbs (pulsed in the food processor). https://www.loavesanddishes.net/tasty-easy-meatloaf/
