MASTER TONIC Immune Booster Recipe

My dad told me about this stuff and I haven't tried it yet but he has and loves it... so thought I would share.

Quote:

The Master Tonic - A Natural Antibiotic

by Richard Schulze, University of Natural Healing Based on a tonic by John Christopher

Raw Unfiltered Unbleached Non-distilled Apple Cider Vinegar

1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves

1 part fresh chopped White Onion (or hottest onions)

1 part fresh grated Ginger Root

1 part fresh grated Horseradish Root

1 part fresh chopped Cayenne Peppers or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, or Scotch Bonnets, etc.

Fill a glass jar 3/4 of the way full w/equal parts by volume (i.e. a cupful each) of the above fresh chopped and grated herbs. Then fill jar to the top with raw, unfiltered, unbleached, non-distilled apple cider vinegar. Close and shake vigorously and then top off the vinegar if necessary.

Shake at least once a day for two weeks, then filter the mixture through a clean piece of cotton (old T-shirt, etc.), bottle and label. Make sure that when you make this tonic that you shake it every time you walk by it, a minimum of once per day. Remember that all the herbs and vegetables should be fresh (and organically grown if possible) and use dried herbs only in an emergency.

This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh. It's power should not be underestimated. This formula is a modern day plague tonic and when added to an incurable routine it can cure the most chronic conditions and stubborn diseases. it stimulates maximum blood circulation, while putting the best detoxifying herbs into the blood. This formula is not just for the sniffles, it has helped to turn around the deadliest infections like some of the new mutated killer viruses that defy conventional antibiotics.

The dosage is 1/2 to 1 ounce, two or more times daily (1- 2 Tbs.). Gargle and swallow. (Don't dilute with water.)

For ordinary infections, 1 dropper full taken 5-6 times a day will deal with most conditions. It can be used during pregnancies, is safe for children (use smaller doses and as a food is completely non-toxic. Make up plenty as it does not need refrigeration and lasts indefinitely without any special storage conditions.

Ingredient properties:

-Garlic cloves (anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-parasitical)

-White Onion, or hottest onions available (similar properties to garlic)

-Ginger Root (increases circulation to the extremities)

-Horseradish Root (increases blood flow to the head)

-Cayenne Peppers, or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, -or Scotch Bonnets, etc. (a great blood stimulant).

Pro-biotic: antiviral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitical.

Could you seriously get kids to take this? I'm not being snarky--but looking at the recipe, I'd think it would burn all the way down. Could you mix it with honey for them?

I can get my kids to take anything with a little friendly competition. They race me :shifty They are a team and I am a team. I got Luke to take his Essiac plain today. I can't drink Essiac becuz of bfing but the kids say its seriously nasty. I said "hmm. . . can you drink this before I finish my water".

Or sometimes I give them a "shot" of juice to wash it down. I was thinking for this, I'd put it in juice. I can hide anything in juice even oregano oil :sick which burns like crazy IMO.

Neat-O! I'm saving the recipie and I'll probably be giving it a try in the fall when dh's once-a-year debilitating illness comes around....or sooner if need be or the ingredients present themselves. :mrgreen THANKS!

I'm assuming this is okay for bf'ing moms, right?

tempus vernum 03-30-2007 09:44 AM

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

I am assuming its okay as I eat all of these foods. I would also juice any of these foods and drink them under certain circumstances (i.e. onion juice for heavy congestion).

I just think you have to be careful that you don't get too much. YOur baby could get a gut ache and your milk could taste unpleasant. :think I think those are the only problems with this. :think

This looks GREAT!! Our family is BIG on garlic but I haven't thought of using these other ingredients for properties that would mazimize the benefits of garlic! Thanks for this!! I'll be trying it soon!

What is the difference between the properties between a white onion and other onions?

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

Mine will be "done" AKA the two-weeks stewing--tomorrow. I'm hesitant to open the jar.

I was talking with someone about it and she said that I should date it and put it in a dark place. That the longer it sat the more potent and valuable it became, and that in biblical days things like that were considered "wealth" because your health was your wealth.

If I decide to open it, I'll let you know, but more than likely I'll label it and put it in the cabinet in the garage and wait to try it until one of us is sick.

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

ok I took some last night...I thought my throat was on fire!!!!! I don't think it is something I can ever give my kids.....sigh..but at least dh and I can use it. The horseradish and onion really stood out...

Learnin'2B 05-02-2007 03:46 PM

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

:think Mine is warm, but not untolerable. I taste more vinegar and garlic, and the heat doesn't last long...less than a minute..but we follow it with honey and bread. I also add O.J. to 1/2 and 1/2...so that may have a bit to do with it....I also didn't gargle. But I wouldn't have a problem doing it plain and gargling b/c I did taste it alone. I'm just doing it this way b/c dd is a bit sick, so I take it first just how I have her do it. It's still gross. I'm having dh pick up some avacados when he comes home from work and I'm going to try to mix it with that for her so she can eat it with chips.

I was wondering if by doing it this way it loses some of the effect b/c it isn't in as much of direct contact with the mouth and esophagus linings, which absorb things very easily. :think
Any thoughts on that?

In any case, it may make a good marinade!

cobluegirl 05-02-2007 03:51 PM

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

I don't know...I know mine is several months old....thus being stronger perhaps? I didn't dilute it with anyhting and just dropped one dropper full down the back of my throat...lol

Learnin'2B 05-14-2007 12:03 PM

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

:yes It's getting hotter! Mine's now just over a month old. I definitely can't give it to dd now. It warms me up good now! My ears get hot! ...of course, I don't mind so much. It's the taste that's the hard part. It's a lesson in "taking your medicine" if ever there was one!

I didn't see this before. I think I need a drink of water just from reading that recipe! WhooEEEE that sounds hot!

Or you could just go to Dr. Schultz's website for his American Botanical Pharmacy www.herbdoc.com and order his already made tinctures. We love his stuff and they really work! He recommends putting herbal formulas in a teaspoon of pure maple syrup to get kids to take it.

Oh I am subbing to this thread.

I ordered the supplies to make this on my next co-op order. It has been on my "list" of things to do for months but we moved and I keep putting it off.

Now I can't wait......I haven't ever known anyone else that made it.

it is pretty strong...LOL kind of tastes like onion and radish juice...

tempus vernum 02-26-2008 09:29 AM

Re: Immune Booster Recipe

Well, it is absolutely disgusting. Burns on the way down and just GROSS :sick But it's amazing how well it works. I thought I was coming down with strep. Took this 2 times and woke up the next day fine. That was over 10 days ago and I never got sick.

I have never heard of Dr. Schultz tinctures but you can get Cyclone cider herbal tonic.

I am getting some for my kids as they can't tolerate the homemade. They took it once with o.j. - I figured anyway I can get them to take it. Luke's face turned so red and he coughed for about 1/2 hour. He cried in fear when I got it out recently. So I skipped it

I will continue to do homemade for me because it just works so stinkin great. :tu I don't care how bad it tastes. ANything that works this great is worth stomaching!

Hmm. . . onion and radish juice? Interesting. Mine tastes more like garlic and onion fire (as in super super super spicy :P ).

LOL A part of the problem may be I don't like radishes so I can't imagine radish juice. but you are right, it's almost impossible to describe the flavor :giggle
