You called? Ask away and I'll see if I can answer (or find the answer).

I did know you were an anthropologist, after being here on GCM for 10 years. :giggle I wasn't sure how much field experience you had. :bag

I'll put together some questions for you. I'm not sure if my plot is too far outside reality (even for fiction). I appreciate it!

Re: Any archaeologists here (or know someone who is)?

Not as much as many, but dug at Mount Vernon for a summer, a southern plantation for a summer and some contract work. Keep in mind that for every day an archaeologist spends in the field, they spend three in the lab. I've started volunteering in the lab at my old grad school and my sil is pursuing her Phd right now, so if I can't answer or if it's very specific, I can probably find someone who can. Ironically, I might end up going back into the field (actual - blazing hot, humid, dirty - field) next summer.

Now my curiosity is high :)

I'll answer any questions you have too - no novel writing required :giggle

:giggle Thank you! No particular questions - I love archaeology and did a three week Roman dig when I was 14 as work experience. So I thought I'd tag along in this thread :tu

You have a next novel! :dance

I've watched Indiana Jones several times, so let me know if I can be of help.

:snooty........:giggle During grad school I visited a church and some guy asked me what I did. I told him I was working on my master's in archaeology (ok, I'm sure I've said this before, but just fyi, all archaeologist are anthropologist, arch is a sub-discipline). He said 'you don't look like Indiana Jones' thinking he was soooo funny. I just responded that 'my boyfriend prefers it that way' and ended the discussion.
