Cherry Extract? What to do with? NOT DESSERT
Sooo . . . I this bottle of cherry extract from cookies I made a few years ago.
I don't want to make dessert with it. Could I put it in muffins? What else can I do with it? I am thinking of just dumping it. I hate to waste stuff though. And I just threw away a half of a chicken pot pie (like a big one, so 4 slices). long story about what happened to my poor pot pie So now I am renewed to not throw anything else away today foodwise. though its just cherry extract not food food. |

Do you make granola? You could add it in there

It would be good in a chocolate smoothie.

Cherry vanilla muffins, cherry chocolate or chocolate chip muffins, cherry pecan (walnut, almond, anything) muffins
cherry cocoa I know you said no dessert, but cherry might help make interesting something like Washington cookies, which are pretty much granola bars in disguise. Or plain oatmeal cookies. Cherry might help disguise a reduction in sugar for something like that to become more of a snack. ---------- Post added at 01:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:10 PM ---------- Could also mix a small amount directly into yogurt for variety. One thing first...have you double-checked the label to make sure it's actually real cherry? If it's artificial, I'd have no guilt throwing it out without striving to use it up. |
