Can you do sprouts? Or make them? Totally not necessary but sprouts from lentil, broccoli, alfalfa, etc. make a vegetable salad even more of a complete meal.

The recipes that dehydrate things and all are fun, but time-consuming and not necessary.

If you do steel cut oats you can soak them a long time and then eat them without cooking for breakfast. Or just have some fruit for breakfast.

I have done some sprouts. Our HFS sells an already sprouted mix of lentils and some beans. It is yummy. I have a sprouting jar, and I tried to sprout black beans, but they were too crunchy. or something. How would I sprout broccoli? I would like to learn more about soaking grains. Mostly, I just eat some greens with a little something in them for breakfast.

Well, forgive the fact that they're all pretty much from the same blog :giggle But, I love each one :)

raw walnut "meat" taco salad
collard wraps
spring rolls with peanut love sauce (can sub a collard wrap for the rice paper wrap and all almond butter for the peanut sauce)
raw pad thai - I LOVE this one - I use a veggie peeler to make zucchini and carrot "noodles"
raw cheddar "cheese" sauce
apple avocado sushi

treats...
fudge balls
raw strawberry pie
chocolate pudding
raw apple pie
mango cobbler

To sprout vegetables you need the seeds.

Some beans aren't safe to eat sprouted. I am not sure if black beans are one, but I'm pretty sure kidney beans have some sort of toxin that has to be soaked and cooked out. I know that lentils and mung beans are safe for the bean category.
