Remote Control for Computer?

I think this is wishful thinking, but here goes.

I would love to find a device that I can hold in my hand, preferably comfortably under the covers while I am in bed.

This device will have a button that makes my FB feed scroll down. Also, I would be able to go to "next page" of my kindle reading app on my computer.

The reason I need such a device is because I have some nerve damage, and using my trackpad to scroll, or even hitting the down arrow is aggravating to my nerve issues.

Does such a thing exist?

Do those powerpoint remotes do these tasks, even if I'm not giving a presentation?

Track pads are terrible! Is a mouse just as bad for you? Or a tablet?
