Same here. :yes I got one of the smaller models for my birthday at least...8 years ago, and it's never had a problem.

My Shark is just amazing. I have the Rotator Lift Away but I never use the Lift Away feature. This vacuum is quiet, light, maneuverable, great on stairs, great on bare floors, sealed unit (great for allergies) and less than $200.

I am a huge fan of our shark lift away as well. I bought it after hearing from some ladies on this board and reading reviews and I still :heart it nearly a year later.

It's pricey, but you can get them refurbished off of ebay. Rainbow vacuum is amazing. My mother has one that is at least forty years old and it's still going strong. I found one off on craigslist four years ago for a little less than two hundred and have been so thankful for it.

We just got a new one (Bissell Powerclean Rewind). I am LOVING the retractable cord feature, as that is one of the things that always seemed like such a chore after vacuuming lol.
