My dd was playing at pbskids .org and found a recipe and printed it out. There is no way she would have been excited about garbanzo bean burgers if I had made them for dinner on my own. :no But she loved these and they were a hit with everyone else, too. :tu

I liked baking them instead of cooking them in the skillet like I've always done with bean burgers...usually they stick and fall apart when I try to flip them. Baking them got them lightly browned on the underside, and that's the side I presented on the bun.

(I doubled the recipe and made 9 burgers...I could only use egg yolks, so I added some olive oil and used less bread crumbs. I'll experiment with some spices next time...What would you bind it with to make it vegan?)

Bumping because I just know someone wants to talk about bean burgers. :giggle

Now that I've baked them and see how much easier that is, I'd love to have another recipe using other beans (black?)
