Favorite vegan pizza toppings?
 

What are you favorite vegan pizza topppings? Doing a search online comes up a lot them but with "vegan" cheese.... I don't have any "vegan" cheese. Not sure if I want to try it, they don't even really sell any around here anyway.

Also how does this combo sound? not sure if those things "go together"

pizza/marinara sauce
portabello mushrooms
spinach
onions
red peppers
and of course garlic

I usually just put a whole ton of pineapple on my pizza. Yum!

If you don't want to do fake cheese, try a mediterranean with pesto, and roasted red peppers, capers, sundried tomatoes, olives etc etc. There's so much flavor you won't miss the cheese. Of course, I like to add parmesean and feta, but I'm not vegan. :giggle

I'm not vegan, but my all-time favorite pizza toppings are green & red bell peppers and green olives. It sounds weird but it's soooo yummy. My friends have been known to add mushrooms, too, but I personally think mushrooms taste like dirt. :shifty

I make tofu ricotta. Mush tofu with some Vegan mayo. It's better than it sounds. Plops of that, plops of read sauce, and plops of pesto from the tube. Vegan with a Vengeance has an actual recipe.

Melty cheese isn't too bad.

Artichoke hearts
fresh spinach
I love pineapple, too.
kalamata olives are a nice treat.

You are making me hungry! I've used a tofu ricotta recipe in the past that was simply crumbly tofu, basil, garlic and a splash of olive oil in the processor. As toppers I like red peppers, pineapple, and black olives.

Off to make pizza dough...

whole roasted garlic cloves
red onion
spinach
red pepper
black olives
pizza sauce
vegan cheese sauce splashed around it

I also love a pesto, pine nut, evoo, artichoke heart, whole garlic clove pizza. No pizza sauce.

Hummus or chickpeas are good, too.

"Mexican" Pizza is good, too. Just put stuff you would use on burritos. Use beans for the sauce.
