Does anyone know anything about Connections Academy?

They run virtual charter schools around the country (i.e., in WI it's called Wisconsin Connections Academy or WCA). K12, Inc. also runs virtual charter schools around the country www.k12.com (they also sell their curriculum to homeschoolers).

If you are enrolled in a VCS, just remember that you are NOT homeschooling. VCS is a type of public school that you can do from home. If you are interested in more information, PM me. :-)
