natural ant repellent for outside?
Is there anything I can place/wipe on our patio that would keep ants away? EOs? Something I can find in my kitchen? I don't want to use any chemicals, since this small patio is pretty much the only place the kids can play outside.

Re: natural ant repellent for outside?
Try cinnamon. I sprinkle it around my window frames and anywhere I think ants are coming in. Apparently they don't want to cross a line of cinnamon because it messes with their sense of scent and they can't find their way home after that. I'm not sure how it would work outside for a big area, though.
I've also heard a line of chalk will be a barrier, but I haven't tried that one. |

AFA the chalk, the kids try to "kill" the ants with the chalk, and they have covered almost every area with chalk, so I don't think that works :giggle -- unless sidewalk chalk is somehow different :shrug3 |
