Red, white, and blue desserts!
 

Do you have some favorites? This year I'll have vanilla ice cream with blueberries and watermelon slices cut with star cookie cutters.

In the past I've frosted a sheet cake with vanilla and decorated it like a flag with blueberry stars and raspberry stripes. I've also done trifle-style layers with cake, whipped cream, and fruit.

What are your plans or ideas this Fourth of July? :usa

Fun! We always do a flag cake with strawberries and blueberries. Flavor of the cake varies- sometimes chocolate, sometimes lemon, just whatever we want.

We also make layered red, white, and blue smoothies with different fruits. The blue is more purple, though, because it's blueberries that color it.

You can get those frozen mini cream filled puffs from sams and put them in a large glass bowl with blueberries and raspberries. Beautiful and yummy

While I was nursin' and surfin' last night, a Pin came up with this Fourth of July S'mores Dessert. :yum Just got back from the store with ingredients so we can try it tomorrow.
