Gum on wood
How to get dried gum off of a wooden headboard? :doh

Re: Gum on wood
Maybe goo gone? No experience- just an idea. I'd try it in a non-conspicuous place first.

Freeze with ice then gently scrape?

Get as much as you can off and then rub eucalyptus oil until the rest comes off.

Re: Gum on wood
I have found that coconut oil dissolves other things on wood like wax so you may want to give it a try on the gum and then it also makes the wood like new

Re: Gum on wood
Any kind of oil will dissolve gum, it's just a matter of how much. I personally would go with something like petroleum jelly or coconut oil because they are solid and more easily controlled so you won't have a grease spot. If you have some kind of cooking oil, then dabbing it on a cloth and rubbing it would work as well.
