why did God make poison plants?
I know it seems like a silly question, but I know that all animals have functions. Now that we're digging up brush at our new house I've been researching the harmful plants and getting pictures of them to familiarize myself. I learned what Virginia Creepers were today, very exciting since I thought it was poison ivy for the longest time! So do these plants have a functional purpose in the wild that I just don't know about?

Yeah I thought it happened after the fall, like when the plants got thorns too

For some, it's just how they protect themselves from getting eaten, and they're not poisonous to everything.
