Re: September Dinners
I have a pork roast in the crock pot. I'm not sure when I should add the veggies I haven't cut up yet, so I think I'll end up roasting potatoes, carrots, and onions in the oven.

Re: September Dinners
I may try the roasted green beans! That has never occurred to me. I roast veggies almost daily but for some reason when I do green beans I always resort to using the steamer.
Tonight we had chili for dinner. It was a bit chili outside and I had black beans and ground beef to use up so it was the perfect choice. :rockon |
Re: September Dinners
We had roasted green beans tonight, too! My kids call them green fries. :giggle We had them with sausage and cheese quiche and fresh cukes and tomatoes from the garden. I let my kids who don't/wont eat eggs have plain sausages.

We had fish burgers, cauliflower tots, and steamed broccoli. I made Ecclefechan tarts (essentially a butter tart with mixed dried fruit and nuts but I left out the nuts) this afternoon and we had those for dessert. |

Re: September Dinners
I am currently making French onion soup in my Instant Pot. I hope it turns out well! I have really been craving it lately, and, well, it will get too expensive to keep buying it at Panera :giggle I am just adding shredded swiss cheese when I serve it. I am not going to do the whole broiling the cheese thing. I am serving it with French bread. http://pressureluckcooking.com/recip...ch-onion-soup/
