Want a new chicken recipe?

About 20 years ago my mom wrote a chicken cookbook that she thought might be world famous :giggle

It's called, and I'm serious...Ummmmm Good! "Chicken." :shifty with quotation marks :shifty

Anyway I thought it might be fun to post a recipe for everyone who posts in the thread. Maybe you've heard of it before, maybe not! Who wants to play? :rockon

I totally pulled the most obnoxious non-veggie convertible recipe I could out of the hat :giggle

Chicken Divan (also can use with turkey, April) :P~:P~
2 T butter
2T flour
1 1/4 C milk
1 egg yolk, beaten
1/4 t. dry mustard
salt and pepper
1/4 c grated cheddar cheese
2 pkgs frozen broccoli cooked and drained (no wonder I hate veggies...sigh)
3 C sliced cooked chicken

Melt butter, add flour and cook until mixture bubbles. Remove from heat. Graduatlly stir in milk and egg yolk, then add spices. Cook, stirring until mixture is thickened and starts to boil. Add cheese and cook, stirring until cheese is melted. Arrange hot broccoli and chicken in baking dish, spooning sauce between layers and on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Broil until cheese is browned.

I'll take a recipe that is allergen-free (no corn, soy, wheat, eggs, dairy, nuts, etc.), made from scratch, is super-easy and my husband won't say that it's "boring."

Oh, and no pepper - forgot about that one.
