Laurie, glad you had a great time with the hubby. :heart I really need to plan another weekend getaway with mine. We try to do them somewhat regularly but it's been a while....

And I love hearing about all your experiences with your kids in college! I have a senior and sophomore in high school this year so I'm not too far away from that stage.... We actually are just in the midst of planning a college tour for ds.

A weekend getaway sounds awesome. We should really plan one... DH worked crazy insane hours during flu clinic season, and I'm getting ready to start coaching travel volleyball, so we should probably reconnect before that season starts :giggle

The weather here today is gross. The weekend was SO perfect that I got spoiled. Now it's cold and soggy and rainy and I don't feel like doing anything!

Time away with dh is so important. Glad you are planning to work one in Christine.

Our anniversary was yesterday. We went up to a local state park and watched the wind whipped waves come crashing in. We've been before but not during storm season. It was sunny and not raining which was a bonus. Then we went to costco for fun browsing time. Then got me a new phone and out to dinner. It was a lovely afternoon/evening.

Joanna's team placed 3rd in the tournament! It was an awesome week. Another mom and I drove back from Omaha to Austin in 13.5 hours yesterday and I didn't get tired or achy! God really answered our prayers for the trip home.

I got home to some drama, but I'm trying to relax today.

Dh booked us a trip to a state park in a couple of weeks. :) We're going to have a cabin on the rim of a canyon.
