How much time per day do you spend in the kitchen?
 

I'm just curious to see how much time per day other women spend in the kitchen. Include an estimate of prep, cooking, clean-up and just general hanging out there for coffee, etc. Not necessary to include time that is non-food related such as homeschooling or game playing, or whatever else might occur there.

I would say at least 3 hours a day.

Varies from 1-4 hours depending on the day. Four hours would be unusual, if I were prepping and cooking on a weekend day for the upcoming week.

Um, all the time? :lol In reality, it's probably 6 hours a day.

I'd say 4-7, mainly keeping Sammy out of trouble.

3-4 hours.
Thats roughly 8am -10am in the morning packing lunches making coffee, breakfast, dishes, cleaning, having coffee and chatting. Then prepping for dinner.
Then again from maybe 4-6pm. Dishes again, putting lunch stuff away, cooking dinner, clean up, chatting over tea.

I'd say four to five hours.

Maybe 2 hours?

I spend about 20 minutes total on breakfast/coffee
about 10-15 minutes for lunch
about 45-60 minutes for supper (or whatever our big meal is... this includes dishes and sweeping)
and another 10-15 minutes just grabbing random things and snacks.

So adding that up I get 1 hour 50 minutes, so I wasn't too far off. :)

Well, at the very least it is 30 minutes to make each meal. And that is for simple meals. Most of the time dinner takes much longer, and then the cleaning after... So I would say in general about 3+ hours

FOREVER!! luckily I really like my kitchen! :heart It would be more but we eat in the dining room so I get a change of scenery. :giggle

I think I'd spend more time in my kitchen if it wasn't a galley kitchen. There's no hanging out to be done in my kitchen at all unless you're cooking or cleaning, haha. I would estimate around 2 hours.

20 minutes for breakfast
20 minutes for lunch
1-1.5 hours for supper
and maybe 20-30 minutes of cleaning or so per day?

Sometimes I feel like it is all day.

I think I am in the 4-6 hour range.

5-8, depending on the day and how much I already have ready to eat.
