Talk to me about 2 week old kittens
 

It's been a while since I've had a tiny kitten. We went to Mexico for a few days. The woman who we rented an air bnb from (K) runs an animal rescue. Her friend found an abandoned kitten in the back of a truck. K cannot keep her, she already has 10 puppies that she is caring for in addition to her 6 cats and several dogs. We are going to take her to the vet to get her checked for feline leukemia. I can look into the ages for vaccines. What else do I need to know? She just urinated on me and then on my daughter. How do I get her to use a litter box?

Kitty had a ton of fleas, so I gave her a bath and combed her and used tweezers on her. I will keep combing her and checking for fleas and will give my other cats a bath because I don't need an apartment full of fleas. I used hand soap on her body and put a tiny drop of flea shampoo in a sink of water.

K gave me goat milk for the ride home and an eye dropper and we bought kitty formula and a bottle once we were back in the States. She is eating about every 3 hours from the eye dropper, maybe 5-6 cc.

No deworming until 6 weeks or vaccines until 8 weeks.

Not being in the States myself, could it be a problem to bring the kitten back across the border?

I know that flea shampoo is not supposed to be used, but I only put a drop in the water, so probably not enough to harm her.

She is sleeping on my chest and has kind of migrated to my neck by my ear.
