Chicken chili with back beans and rolls. I'd rather make cornbread, but nobody will eat it but me.

Re: SO what is for dinner?

Well, last Friday I forgot we had game night/pizza at church and I made split pea/ham soup. It went into the fridge....and I pulled it out early this afternoon and put it back into the crockpot for tonite.

To make it better (because nobody is much of a fan, but I made it anyway :shifty), I am making bread in the bread machine to go with it. Me? I get GF bread from the freezer...maybe I will toast it in the oven with butter and garlic....:think

I'd make corn bread but I think dh dipped out of my corn meal stash to make pancakes...I don't think I have enough to make a full batch...

Re: SO what is for dinner?

Some sort of stirfry. Generally I take beef out of the freezer and then at suppertime I root through the house to see what veggies I've got. :giggle I know there are onions downstairs and peppers in the freezer. Broccoli, carrots and celery in the fridge. Don't have fresh mushrooms or bok choi, but I do have a couple of tins of mushrooms and some cabbage. We shall see what happens tonight. Likely it'll be served over a bed of arsenic. ;)

Re: SO what is for dinner?

We had some Thanksgiving leftovers in the freezer, I thawed them out yesterday, and threw them in the oven awhile ago. I'm SO glad I thought ahead! We made TONS of food, and saved several full meals in the freezer for after baby came. I'm excited to eat it up!

This is perfect I was just thinking of what to do for dinner and was going to ask everyone what they wanted. Thanks for reading my mind. :giggle

I have some burger that is defrosting and Glenn wants yams to go with whatever I make. I am lost from here.

Any ideas I was thinking of mashed potatoes and hamburger gravy with yams on the side, but have no potatoes so I would have to go to the store. :scratch

We ended up eating leftovers:) Chicken, baked sweet potatoes with plenty of butter, cream spinach (20 oz frozen spinach, 8 oz cream spinach, 1 stick butter, 1/4 tsp. marjoram). I made wheat-free chocolate chip cookies last night so I'm sure we'll enjoy some for dessert!:yum

Not the OP, but when I used to make crustless quiche I just did it in a well-greased 8x8 glass pan. :shrug Super yummy, but I don't make it anymore since it's just not that good without cheese. :no

DH and I made crustless quiche a couple of days ago. We just made it in a 9-inch glass pie pan (deeper than normal.) We buttered the dish first. Worked fine.

We had quinoa "burgers" and salad. My kids were not convinced of the deliciousness of their dinner though. :sigh I'll try again another day. In the meantime, more for me!

(We are not a vegetarian family...but I try to do meatless once or twice a week.)

Make your own pizzas. My kids were thrilled to make their own and get to choose just the right toppings.

I was thrilled to eat real pizza. :shifty
