Re: February's Fabulous Food!
Last night was All Meat Veggie Chili. It's a Paleo recipe. Lots of meat but also carrots, celery, onion, and zucchini. No beans.
I need to remind DH to take home food for him and the twins tonight. I'm closing and came in earlier than usual so unless he wants to cook at home after making tray after tray of baklava and other prep, I'd better make sure he leaves with dinner and lunches for school. Unless I end up closing tomorrow, I'll be off around 3. So I'm planning a zucchini and egg bake that also has ground sausage. If I do close, it's not difficult or too time-consuming. I can make it for lunch for me and then they have leftovers. I would just need to remember to do it. |

Re: February's Fabulous Food!
I made this funny recipe for the kids the other night that we had at a friend's house.
You make your favorite cornbread batter. Pour into muffin tins about halfway, add some cut up hot dogs (I buy the grass-fed beef ones at Wal-Mart) and add a little more batter. Corn dog muffins. The kids love them. Go figure. Today was the last day of ski school I was was wiped out. mac & cheese for dinner. Tomorrow i have to do menu planning. :blah |
Re: February's Fabulous Food!
Corn dog muffins sound fun.
Last night I made pasta sauce using half sauce from a jar, half homemade creamy tomato soup and added lots of spinach. It was good! |
Re: February's Fabulous Food!
Last night I made our favorite Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup; both of my girls have the flu and the rest of us are fighting getting it.

Re: February's Fabulous Food!
Frozen pizzas will be baked at our house tonight. The day was spent assisting dh as he repaired our dishwasher (that man will try any job) (it's running now :)) and for some reason it feels like a great night to not cook.

Re: February's Fabulous Food!
I had a rehearsal this afternoon and was stressing out trying to figure out what to make for dinner. So . . .. . . . . . . . . . .. . . I foisted off the duty on dh. :giggle. He had all afternoon and full fridge and deep freezer. My sister said that if he was in charge, it would be something from a drive through. She wasn't far off - he went to the local sub shop.

Re: February's Fabulous Food!
We had baked ziti the last two nights and are making oatmeal pancakes tonight. Though I had a huge craving for a turkey sandwich while I was at the store just now, so I got stuff for that too. :shifty
