Downloading Library books to my Kindle, need a little help
 
A little, maybe a lot :giggle


It's the first time I've used OverDrive. I just downloaded the program and tried to transfer the file from Amazon, but it keeps giving me this error: No Windows Media Audio Shortcut (wax) path was included on the command line :shrug3

After some googling about the problem, I tried deleting all the temporary internet files-no help, and tried this solution from Overdrive help, but it was no help because the file already has the right extension.

Can anybody help (btw, I am kinda slow on the uptake of techie stuff-so be gentle :O)

I have always just transferred them through Amazon, and not through Overdrive.

It doesn't give the option to download a kindle version on your library?

It is letting me transfer books wirelessly to my kindle, but the book I am trying to download must be transferred via USB (and from what I can gather) through the Overdrive transfer Media Console :shrug3. When I try to download from the Amazon page, that is the error I get.

When I had a book that needed to be tx via usb, I just plugged my Kindle in, and found the file that downloaded, and put it on there manually :shrug

It should save to the hard drive, and then manually drag and drop. It is a kindle file, right?

:phew Finally got it on my Kindle. It only showed up when I turned my wireless on :shifty, not sure why since I transferred it via USB cord 3 hours earlier, but that's okay I now have a book I've been waiting for this weekend.
