No-knead bread recipes
Is anyone baking bread using the no-knead method? I've had great luck with some no-knead bread recipes published last year in Eating Well magazine, and my friend told me about another method that involves mixing up a huge amount of dough kept in the fridge for up to two weeks. Small quantities are then baked into loaves as needed.
I'm most interested in whole grain breads. |
Re: No-knead bread recipes
Oooh. She's talking about artisian bread in 5 minutes a day. It's awesome-- I just taught my 6 year old to mix it up this week. Here is a link to an article with the recipe/technique. http://www.motherearthnews.com/Real-...ay.aspx?page=1
The authors of this book have a new book out called Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes a day that focuses more on whole grains and other healthy ingredients which I have, but haven't used much yet. |

Thanks for the link! Tomorrow may be a good day to get started on my bread baking.

The authors have a blog, too, with some recipes and advice, etc. The HB5M also has gluten free recipes :jump

We had a long thread about this a while ago:
http://www.gentlechristianmothers.co...ead+revolution I think that half of the ladies here were making that bread! :giggle |
Re: No-knead bread recipes
I'm still making whole wheat no knead bread every 2 days because my dh hates sour dough and I find it easier to mix one loaf than 3. :shrug3

Re: No-knead bread recipes
Are you making the recipe listed above or something different? Can you use it for sandwiches?
