WOW!
I've never heard of this stuff, I feel like I've been living under a rock!! I really want to get my hands on some! I'm going to check and see if super supplements has any when I go there on Sunday. So just to make sure, this IS safe to take while pregnant and breastfeeding? And what's the book called that I can get more info on? I want to see if my library has it... |

I talked with Carol at earthslivingclay and it can be used while pregnant. Ive been using it while pregnant and it is awesome! Took away my heartburn, hemoroids, and Im regular. Not only that but my cellulite on my legs that I tend to get while pregnant is almost completely gone. Helps my swelling go down if I walk to much. I dont have to take my asthma inhaler anymore, I could go on and on. Best of all, if you follow the directions it is the gentlest thing I have ever tried. But with that I have to mention, if you take to much it detoxes and along with it you can get detox symptoms, like pimples or skin irritations. So I would read all the info, ask questions to whoever you buy it from, and then make a sort of mental plan on how you plan to use it. :heart |

Re: Bentonite Clay
You're welcome Jodi. :hug Here's the e-mail she sent to me. I asked her about putting the clay on my ds's hives and about starting it while taking the tea.
Hi Krissy, I would start with 2 oz. daily of the clay you have hydrated for drinking. Always follow with a glass of water to get the clay into the system to start working. It will not be necessary to take the clay with the tea. The clay works slowly and sometimes takes as long as two weeks to reach the liver to start it's de-tox there. It is helping to alkaline your body and remove bacteria, fungus, parasites. Your nursing baby will benefit from the clay being in your system. I would definitely apply the clay to your sons rash area. It will take it away, as well as the discomfort. Use the clay hydrated for external application. I would give a five year old about 1/2/ tsp. of hydrated clay every other day to see how his body does with the clay. I have mother's who add it to smoothies, juice, or even food. It really is pretty tasteless. We have had many testimonials on the clay helping allergies. There are over 250 countries who use clay daily in their diet. We are just learning of the wonders clay. Our goal is to help as many people as we can to maintain perfect health, especially our beautiful children. The clay plays a very big part in alkalizing the body which is hard to do with the American diet these days. The clay baths will be wonderful for your children as well. When we do a clay bath at our house I soak than my husband soaks after me. The clay has a great power to pull the toxins from the body, so more than one person can take advantage of the bath. Afterwards I save some of the water for my plants - they love it!! Please let me know how you are doing. I hope it is okay to c&p that here. I thought it was such a nice e-mail and she sounds so informative. :) |

Re: Bentonite Clay
Just wanted to give an update. I went to my obgyn yesterday for a check up and the clay is really helping with my asthma. I have allergy induced asthma. I no longer need to take my inhaler so long as I keep taking the clay. If I miss a dose, I start coughing/wheezing. Im so glad to not have to take any meds while pregnant. Before I started taking it internally I was taking benadryl and my inhaler. And I probably was about to start needing something more.
And my kiddos no longer have eczema that is always on them. If they have a patch break out I just put a little on their skin or give them a clay bath and its gone. That same day! My poor ds, now can recognize when they are starting to break throught he skin by the itching and he will ask for a "clay bath" :giggle If I jump on it and put him in a bath he wont break out. But if he has to wait while im cooking or something, I will feel his back and sure enought he bumps are back. Just another use I found. Dh bought some cheap sandals for the beach the other day and they smelled horrible last night after just an hours use to run to the store. I couldnt stand for them to be in the same room. I sprinkled some clay on the soles and it went away. Sucked the odor up way better than baking soda.Still odor free this morning. :) Eta:the clay brownies are also very good. If youre not use to things to sweet, it is perfect. If youre like me and like the sweet stuff, it would need a chocolate glaze and some crunch like chocolate chips added. We didnt use nuts because of allergies. I made the recipe as is and just topped it with some vanilla ice cream and sliced strawberries. I couldnt believe I was detoxing as I was eating such a yummt dessert.:) |
