How do I finish a filet crochet piece

Do I sew it to a piece of cloth? Frame it? Wash it and block it? Help?

What do you want to do with it? You certainly could frame it.

Did you must make a block say 6x6 or 12x12 inches? You could sew it to material and make a pillow case for an accent pillow.

If it is larger, doily or table runner (depending on yarn/thread used)

You can make a shawl out of a filet pattern.

I would need more information to make further suggestions.

6"x12", so not a common frame size.

Sigh. It looks like my tension got messy. Would blocking it help?

Yes, it would :yes My favorite way to block thread crocheted items is the spray it with starch and shape it with an iron, then leave it to dry.

I'm going to buy a canvas, 9"x12" and attach it to the canvas. I may draw flowers or something on the blank space. What do you think?
