Every time I add it we stopped vomiting/diareah instantly. Last night was the first time I had 3 sick kids and an infant. So nice to be up all night dealing with fevers and crying without the clean up factor.whew!

Wow - rough night for you, but could have been rougher! What's calcium bentonite clay?

:cup subbing I'm so happy to see this. My kids hate sweet drinks, and they won't go near pedialyte or gatorade (Heck, they won't even drink colas or punch or full-strength juice). When they are sick I have an awful time trying to replace electrolytes. Maybe they would drink some of this.

There's a sticky above about it. Its a certain clay that is ingestible. One of its properties is adsorbing/absorbing and pulling out negative charged things, such as viruses, parasites, things like that. Even antibiotic resistant things.

So adding it to my powder mix for when we are ill just seemed the perfect fit. We were so much better this morning I didn't need to intentinally keep giving them anything. Just regular sick foods today. Bluberries, chicken soup, spring water.

Not to mention how much less expensive mixing my own electrolyte is.

My kids love it because I can make it to what they will drink instead of what's on the grocery shelf. Mine don't really care for those either, and if they did drink some they never finished it because it would start to hurt their tummies.Blah....

So, does this have any minerals besides sodium?
I have been needing to drink Gatorade like crazy lately. Plain water just seems to help lately. I am not sick, but have had terrible headaches.

If you use the sea salt, yes. There are beneficial trace minerals in it.

I heard in the third world, they're starting to teach the recipe (bottle of water, pinch of salt, handful of sugar) in schools.

can you add some OJ or some kind of juice to this for extra flavor..or will it mess anything up?
