Dryel? Anyone use it?
We are creating a business attire wardrobe for dd13 for speech tournaments. We are using the thrift store and have made some great finds! Some of the items are marked dry clean only. I'd love to not have to pay for that. Has anyone used Dryel? I'd love some reviews.

Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
I have in the past. It was more of a refresher than a cleaner, imo.

Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
I used it when it first came out. There's a solution (or two) for removing spots on the clothing and then the dryer bags for removing smells and fluffing everything up. I used to use it for concert clothing, so black suits mainly, and maybe a little velvet. It worked well for routine cleaning. For major spots or big stains you'd probably want to take the garment to an actual cleaner.

I just wash on delicate:bag
I just donated my dryel |
Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
I agree--for shirts and pants I wash on gentle, cold and hang dry. For suit jackets it's probably worth dry cleaning occasionally.

Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
I'm not seeing any spots or stains. I mostly just want to freshen it up. The the dress we just bought has a top & bottom that are 2 different materials. The bottom is a stiffer cotton skirt.

Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
What is the top made of?
I've found cotton, polyester, rayon, silk, wool, and linen to be washable, at least on cold delicate or handwashed. Acetate is the only one that seems to be a problem, so I try to avoid it. |
Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
The skirt is 97% cotton & 3% elastic. The bodice is 95% polyester and 5% elastic.

Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
I wash everything in the washer, even 'dry clean only'. I will put it on cold wash/delicate/handwash cycle depending, and always hang to dry.

Re: Dryel? Anyone use it?
I would feel totally comfortable washing that...lowest spin, hang dry. I would probably even feel comfortable drying on low, but I would say hang dry to be sure.
